TILT Episode 11 - Technology for Thinking
Some say that technology does not improve student learning, and have plenty of data to back it up. Others say the reason for that is that teachers aren't teaching differently with technology than they do in their classrooms. I say that if we want to improve learning with technology, we need to understand the learning process. Once we do, we'll be better able to apply those beliefs about how learning should happen to any technology that comes our way.
In this episode, we'll look at 3 popular learning theories, and make connections to how technology can leverage the learning process.

Danny that was a wonderful presentation that really brought to life the different learning theroies. I do believe that technology can harness collaborative learning if orchestrated carefully by the teacher. Tell me - where did you learn your techniques to make such great presentations?

This is very useful lecture. I am very interested in how we use technology for effective educational improvement. I have learned about learning theories and how the teaching methodologies differ from each one. Michelle

This was very useful information you shared.I think that technology should be used whenever possible to promote higher levels of thinking in students. As teachers we must first become familiar with the technology we want to use so that we can better serve the students we are working with.
